These terms are an agreement between you and Prowl ("we", "us") for use of the app at prowl.money. By creating an account or using Prowl, you agree to them.
Prowl is a personal budgeting tool. It imports your bank and card statements and helps you organize and understand your spending. It is in beta, and it is offered by invitation.
Prowl is a paid subscription with a 30-day free month first. No card is asked for during the free month. The current price is shown on the plan screen inside Prowl. Nothing is charged without your explicit confirmation there. When you confirm a plan, you also agree to its automatic renewal when each month or year ends. A new price never applies without your yes. You can cancel any time on the plan screen. Cancelling stops the renewal. The time you have already paid for runs out. If your free month or your subscription ends, you can still sign in, export everything and pick a plan again. Your data stays for as long as you chose in settings. Then Prowl deletes it for good. We email you once before that happens.
You can change your mind for 14 days after your first payment. The same holds after each yearly renewal, and after a switch to a yearly plan. Press "Refund" on the plan screen inside Prowl. Your plan ends that day and every payment from those 14 days goes back to your card in full. You can also email support@prowl.money and we do it for you. A monthly renewal is not refunded. Outside the 14 days nothing is refunded, and the time you have paid for runs out.
Prowl's plans are sold through Link, a service of Stripe. Link is the seller. It takes the payment, works out any tax and pays it, and sends your receipts. The tax is inside the price you see. Your card statement shows Link's name before Prowl's. You can cancel on Link's own site as well as on Prowl's plan screen. Prowl provides the service you pay for, under these terms. Prowl never sees or stores your card details.
Prowl helps you see and organize your own money. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and its categorizations and figures are for your convenience only. Always verify important numbers and make your own decisions.
Don't misuse the service. That means no attempts to break or probe its security, and no accessing other people's data. It also means no automated abuse, and nothing unlawful.
Your data is yours. You give us permission only to store and process it as needed to run the app for you. The privacy policy has the details. You can export or delete it, including your whole account, at any time.
Prowl is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. It's in beta. It may change, have downtime, or contain bugs. Imports and categorization aren't guaranteed to be complete or accurate. Use your own judgment on anything that matters.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. To the same extent, we are not liable for any financial decisions you make using the app.
You may stop using Prowl and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or threaten its security.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when we last did. If a change affects you, we email you before it applies. The email says what changes and how to stop using Prowl. If you keep using Prowl after that, you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. California's rules for choosing another place's law do not apply.
